The previous stick reminded me of a penguin. When looking at this stick after drilling out a bad knot, “Eye of Sauron” jumped into my head. So, “Eye of Sauron” it is.
The details of making a hiking stick can be found in the post about the The Penguin. For Sauron, an ebony stain was used to create more contrast with the purple paracord.
